Brick House - Pinot Noir - Dijonnaise
Overview:Ā We planted the first vines around the old brick house in the sunny spring of 1990. Pinot Noir first, then Chardonnay and Gamay Noir. Every vine was planted with a commitment that was rare in the Willamette Valley at the time: Brick House was to be a certified organic farm. By 2005, we had achieved Demeter Biodynamic certification. Today, our southeast facing slopes on Ribbon Ridge host 45,000 vines, producing lovely fruit for estate-grown wines. At Brick House, the pledge to farm āin harmony with Mother Natureā remains our lodestar...a covenant with our land.
Tasting Notes: Fresh, aromatic and juicy, this deliciously complex wine incorporates the extra texture of biodynamically farmed grapes, adding details and length. Citrus, berry, a dash of Dr Pepper soda and a solid foundation of stone make for a firm, age-worthy wine. It spent 15 months in one-third new French oak.
Pairing:Ā Roast turkey, beet salad with goat cheese, mushroom pizza.
Points: 94,Ā WineĀ Advocate
Format / ABV:Ā 750 ml/13.5%
