Overview: Beginning in 2011, we introduced organic farming practices at Laurel Glen Vineyard and upgraded pruning and trellising methods in order to improve concentration and more consistent ripening. The changes weāve made in the vineyard have increased the quality of the fruit we harvest. But the quantity of the fruit we harvest has decreased. In addition to fruit from our estate vineyard, the 2018 Counterpoint benefits from Merlot from the venerable Pickberry Vineyard.
Tasting Notes: Lovely aromas of plum and dark raspberry. In the mouth, the wine unfolds in layers of spice and anise. The finish is fresh and bright with a focused minerality and tannins that are firm, round and delicious.
