Starward x Lagavulin Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700 ml)
In our very first distillery collaboration, we’ve teamed up with world renowned Lagavulin distillery to bring you the third and most exciting release of our peated cask finish. A coming together of Urban Melbourne and the Islay Coast, we finished our red wine barrel matured single malt whisky for a further 18 months in casks formerly maturing peated scotch whisky from one of Islay’s oldest distillers.
Tasting Notes:Â
- Color: Amber gold
- Nose: Yellow nectarine, touch of peat, pineapple, and a hint of iodine
- Palate: Initially very tropical, char-grilled pineapple, black tea and a touch of brine
- Finish: Drying ash, but follows through with tropical fruits and a touch of oak
